Based on national requirements, no per son is allowed to enter the projected beam within the zone between the projection lens and
the related hazard distance (HD). This shall be ph
ysically impossible by creating sufficient separation height or b y placing barriers.
The minim um separation height takes into account the surface upon which persons are as sum ed to stand.
On im age 1-1 a typical setup is displayed. It mu st be v erified by the installer if t hese minimum requirements are met. If required a
restricted zone (RZ) in the theater m ust be established. This can be don e by using physical barrier, like a red rope as illustrated in
image 1-2.
