STARTING INSTRUCTIONS
operator and unit must be in a stable position
while starting.
1. Mix gaswith oil. Fill fuel tank with fuel/oil mixture. Refer
to Oiland Fuel Mixing Instructions.
Z Put the On/Off Stop Control in the ON (I) position
(Fig. 16).
& Fully press and release the primer bulb 10 times, slowly,
until FUEL IS VISIBLE IN THE PRIMER BULB (Fig. 17). ff
you can't see fuel in the bulb, press and release the bulb
as many times as it takes before you can see fuel in it.
4. Place the choke lever in the FULL choke (A) H position
(Fig. 17).
& While pressing the throttle lock-out, squeeze the throttle
control to the wide open (full throttle) position (Fig. 16).

position. If the engine attempts to run before the fifth
pull, proceed to step 7.
NOTE: The engine will not run in the FULLchoke (A) H
position.
7. Placethe choke lever in the PARTIALchoke (B)I_,1
position (Fig. 17).
& Pull starter rope briskly l to 3 times to start the engine
(Fig. 18).
NOTE: Squeeze the throttle control until the engine has
started and warmed up.
& ff the engine does not start, repeat steps 3 through 8.
10. Squeeze the throttle control to warm up the engine for 5
to 10 seconds. Place the choke lever in the RUN (C) I_tI
position (Fig. 17).
NOTE:
Choking is unnecessary when starting a warm
engine. Put the On/Off Stop Control in the ON
position (Fig. 16),and start in PARTIALchoke (B)
I_.1position (Fig. 17). After starting, place the
choke lever in the RUN (C)141position (Fig. 17).

STOPPING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Releaseyour hand from the throttle control (Fig. 18).
Allow the engine to cool down by idling.
2. Put the On/Off Stop Control in the OFF(O) position (Fig. 16).
