In case of greater deviation, the measuring tool must be recalibrated. For
this, press and hold the angle measurement button 3. Follow the directions
on the display.
When operating the measuring tool in the measuring rail 26, data
transmission is not possible.
To end the “Measuring rail” operating mode, switch the measuring tool off
and remove it from the measuring rail.
Troubleshooting – Causes and Corrective Measures
Temperature warning indicator (k) flashing;
measurement not possible
Cause
The measuring tool is outside the
operating temperature range from
14° F to 122° F ( – 10 °C to + 50
°C) (in the function continuous
measurement up to 104° F (+40 °C).
Corrective Measure
Wait until the measuring tool has
reached the operating temperature.
Cause
Addition/Subtraction of measured
values with different units of
measurement.
The angle between the laser beam
and the target is too acute/small.
The target surface reflects
too intensely (e.g. a mirror) or
insufficiently (e.g. black fabric), or
the ambient light is too bright.
Corrective Measure
Only add/subtract measured
values with the same units of
measurement.
Enlarge the angle between the
laser beam and the target.
Work with the laser target plate 30
(accessory) This is not useful at a
distance below 30 ft.
