Mounting the 802
®
Series IV loudspeaker with the U-bracket
The Bose
®
802 Series IV loudspeaker can be mounted on a wall or ceiling using the U-bracket accessory kit (not included).
Before You Begin
This installation should be performed only by trained installers.
Recommended Tools: 5 mm Allen wrench
CAUTION: The 802 Series IV loudspeakers weigh 37 lb (16.8 kg). Use caution when lifting to avoid injury and/or damage to the speaker.
Do not rest loudspeakers on their grilles.
Mounting Procedure
1. Choose a mounting location that will safely support the weight (37 lb/16.8 kg) of the loudspeaker. Refer to “Guidelines
for Permanent Installation of 802 Series IV Loudspeakers” on page 2.
CAUTION: Choose a position and mounting method consistent with local building codes and regulations. Ensure the mounting
surface and the method of attaching the loudspeaker to the surface is structurally capable of supporting the weight of the
loudspeaker. A 10:1 safety weight ratio is recommended.
2. Hold the U-bracket in the mounting location and mark the holes.
3. Drill four holes and mount the bracket using all four screws.
4. Remove the film from the foam tape and attach a bracket spacer to each side of the speaker. Insert an M8 cap screw
into the front hole on each side of the speaker. Do not tighten.
