Before You Start Using This Machine
Things You Must Do Before Using This Machine
This section describes the important setting registrations and procedures that must
be done before the machine is used for sending operations. For details about the
operations, see Chapter 2, “Connection and Registering Information in Your
Machine,” in the Facsimile Guide.
IMPORTANT
If you attempt to use the machine without registering the necessary information correctly,
the machine may not function properly.
Connecting the Telephone Line
Before turning on the power, connect the telephone line to the machine.
Connection
Connect one end of the telephone line to the <BMP> [LINE] first, then connect the other
end of the telephone line to your wall telephone jack.
If you want to connect your extension phone or optional handset to this machine, you can
use the <BMP> [EXT.].
NOTE
