If thecuttingdeckappearsto bemowingunevenly,asideto sideadjustmentcanbe
performed.Adjustif necessaryasfollows:
1. Withthetractorparkedona firm, levelsurface,placethedecklift leverin
thesecondfromthetop notch(secondhighestposition)androtateboth
bladessothattheyareperpendkularwith thetractor.
2. Measurethedistancefromtheoutsideof theleft bladetip to theground
andthedistancefromtheoutsideoftheright bladetip to theground.Both
measurementstakenshouldbeequal.If they'renot,proceedtothenext
step.
3. Loosen,butdoNOTremove,thehexcapscrewontheleft deckhanger
bracket.SeeFigure23.
4. Balancethedeckby usingawrenchtoturntheadjustmentgear(found
immediatelybehindthehexcapscrewjust loosened)clockwise/upor
counterclockwise/down.Thedeckisproperlybalancedwhenbothbladetip
measurementstakenearlierareequal.
Retightenthe hexcapscrewontheleft deckhangerbracketwhenproper
adjustmentisachieved.

ParkingBrakeAdjustment
Neverattempt to adjust the brakeswhile the engineis running.Always
disengagePTO(bladeengage)lever,moveshift leverinto neutral position,
stopengineand removekeyto preventunintended starting.
Ifthetractordoesnotcometoacompletestopwhenthebrakepedaliscompletely
depressed,or ifthetractor'srearwheelscanrollwiththe parkingbrakeapplied,
thebrakeis inneedof adjustment.ContactthenearestSearsServiceCentertohave
