Section 3 - Conguration
Firewall
The router’s rewall protects your network from malicious attacks over
the Internet. In the Features menu on the bar on the top of the page, click
Firewall. Click Advanced Settings... to expand the list and see all of the
options.
Enable DMZ: Enable or disable Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). This completely exposes
the client to threats over the Internet, and is not recommended in
ordinary situations.
DMZ IP Address: If you enabled DMZ, enter the IP address of the client you wish to
expose, or use the drop-down menu to quickly select it.
Enable SPI IPv4: Enabling Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) helps to prevent cyber
attacks by validating that the trac passing through the session
conforms to the protocol.
Enable Anti-Spoof
Checking:
Enable this feature to help protect your network from certain kinds
of “spoong” attacks.
IPv6 Simple
Security:
Enable or disable IPv6 Simple Security. Enabling this feature will cause
the router to automatically congure rules for allowing or denying
several types of incoming and outgoing IPv6 trac based on a set of
rules dened in the RFC-6092 standard.
IPv6 Ingress
Filtering:
If IPv6 Simple Security is disabled, click to enable or disable IPv6
ingress ltering. Enabling this feature will cause the router to scan
and verify incoming IPv6 trac and lter out any suspicious packets.
