Use only the blades specified in this manual,
complying with EN 847-1. Do not use any
adapters or arbor rings.
2. Blade guards
Never operate the saw without the guards in
place.
3. Maintenance of the blade blade flanges
Make sure that the blade is not damaged or
cracked and that the blade flanges are clean on
the surfaces of contact. Use both wrenches to
tighten.
4. Riving knife
Make sure that the riving knife is adjusted to the
correct distance from the blade (3-5 mm). Use
only the original riving knife.
5. Push stick/push block
Use a push stick or push block at all times, and
ensure that you do not place hands closer than
150 mm from the saw blade while cutting.
6. Material
Do not use the saw for cutting any material
other than solid wood, chipboard, fibreboard
and plywood. These materials may be covered
with a plastic edging or plastic/light alloy
laminates
Residual Risks
The following risks are inherent to the use of saws:
– injuries caused by touching the rotating parts
In spite of the application of the relevant safety
regulations and the implementation of safety
devices, certain residual risks cannot be avoided.
These are:
– Impairment of hearing.
– Risk of accidents caused by the uncovered
parts of the rotating saw blade.
– Risk of injury when changing the unprotected
saw blade.
– Risk of squeezing fingers when opening the
guards.
– Health hazards caused by breathing dust
developed when sawing wood, especially oak,
beech and MDF.
The following factors increases the risk of breathing
problems:
– No dust extractor connected when sawing
wood
– Insufficient dust extraction caused by uncleaned
exhaust filters
