Lubrication
Your power tool requires no additionallubrication.
Blade Maintenance (Fig.H)
WARNING:
Use gloves and proper eye protection while
removing, sharpening, and installingblade.
The cutting blades are made from high quality, hardened steel
and with normal usage, they will not require resharpening.
However, if you accidentally hit a wire fence, stones, glass, or
other hard objects, you may put a nick in the blade. There is no
need to remove this nick as long as it does not interfere with the
movement of the blade. If you drop the trimmer, carefully inspect
it for damage. If the blade is bent, housing cracked, handles
broken or if you see any other condition that may affect the tool's
operation contact your local authorized service center for repairs
before putting it back intouse.
1. Remove thebattery.
2. Remove blade from pruner. See instructions for Removing
and InstallingBlade.
3. Wear proper eye protection and gloves and be careful not
to cutyourself.
4. Secure blade

5. Carefully file the cutting edge

of the cutting blade with
a fine tooth file

(not included) or sharpening stone (not
included), maintaining the angle of the original cuttingedge
of the cuttingblade.
6. Inspect the edge of the fixed blade and remove any burrs
with a fine toothfile.
7. Install sharpened cutting blade as described in the
Removing and InstallingBladesection.
Blade Lubrication (Fig.A)
1. After use, remove thebattery

2. Carefully apply a resin solvent to the exposedblades.
Storage (Fig.A)
WARNING: Keep your hands away from the blade.
1. After use, remove thebattery.
2. Store in a dry location, away from the reach ofchildren.
8. Install the new cuttingblade.
NOTE: Ensure the cutting edge faces toward the fixed
cutting blade as shown in Fig.F.

Removing and Installing Blade (Fig. A, F, G)
DANGER: RISK OF INJURY. WHEN REASSEMBLING THE
BLADE SYSTEM, ENSURE EACH PART IS REINSTALLED
CORRECTLY, AS DESCRIBED BELOW. IMPROPER ASSEMBLY
OF THE BLADE OR OTHER PARTS OF THE BLADE SYSTEM
CAN CAUSE SERIOUSINJURY.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn unit off, remove battery pack before
making any adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can
causeserious personalinjury.
WARNING: Use gloves and proper eye
protection. Be careful of the sharp edges on theblade.
Replacement blades are available from your nearest
authorised servicecentre.
This pruner requires replacement
blade
DWZPRB300.
1. Remove thebattery.
2. Wear proper eye protection and gloves and be careful not
to cutyourself.
3. Place the product on a smooth, levelsurface.
4. Using the supplied hex wrench

loosen the fixed blade
screw

one full turn as shown in Fig.F. This will allow for
easier removal and assembly of the cutting blade

5. Flip the product onto its otherside.

MAINTENANCE
Your power tool has been designed to operate over a long
period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous
satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and
regularcleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start-up can causeinjury.
The charger and battery pack are notserviceable.

Never hold the tool by theblades.
1. Position the branch to be cut between the cutting
blade

and fixed blade

2. Push the lock-off button

down and squeeze the lock-off
switch

then squeeze the trigger switch

.
3. The cutting blade

will make a cut cycle and cut the
branchoff.
NOTE: Cut branches at an angle for a cleanercut.
4. Release the triggerswitch.
NOTE: If more branches need to be cut, at the same time,
the lock-off switch

can be held down and actuate the
trigger switch

as needed. Otherwise, repeat steps 1-4..
