LUBRICATION
Proper lubrication and maintenance protects Ditch Witch
equipment from damage and failure. In extreme conditions,
lubricate more frequently.
Use only recommended lubricants. Fill to capacities listed in
SPECIFICATIONS
.
Incorrect procedures could result
in death, injury, or property damage. Learn to use
equipment correctly.
NOTICES:
• Unless otherwise instructed, all service should be performed
with engine off.
• Refer to engine manufacturer’s manual for engine
maintenance instructions.
• Before servicing equipment, lower unstowed attachments to
ground.
Recommended Lubricants
DEO Diesel engine oil (SAE 10W40) meeting API engine service classification SF/CD or CE
EPG Extreme pressure grease
MPL Multipurpose gear oil (SAE 80W90) meeting API service classification GL-5
THF Tractor hydraulic fluid, similar to Phillips 66 HG, Mobilfluid 423, Chevron Tractor
Hydraulic Fluid, Texaco TDH Oil, or equivalent
