2-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER FEATURES
>>MULTIPLE STAGES OF PROTECTION
Each channel is individually protected with operation mode indicated by bi-color LEDs on the front of the amplier.
These enable simple troubleshooting. If the circuitry determines that a channel must be shut down for protection due to
a short, excessively low impedance or prolonged elevated temperatures, only the channel that is affected will be turned
off. The LED for the channel with a fault condition will turn red. The other channel will continue to play and maintain a
blue status LED. Once conditions return to normal for the channel with trouble, it will turn back on and status LED color
will return to blue.
>>INSTALLATION-FRIENDLY CONNECTIONS
Each speaker channel features a gold-plated ve-way binding post that can accommodate up to a 14 gauge stranded
speaker wire. The power cord is removable as well, facilitating fast and simple installations. Inputs and outputs are
high-quality RCA-type connectors.
>>DURABLE AUDIOPHILE DESIGN
Episode™ ampliers are built using superior quality components in sophisticated designs. This delivers outstanding
sound quality, performance and long-term reliability.
>>RACK-MOUNTABLE
Each Episode amplier includes an accessory package of rack ‘ears’ that may be attached to the amplier by simply
removing the four (4) side cover screws near the front of the amplier and re-installing them through the rack ‘ear’. The
amplier feet may be removed easily to facilitate clean rack mounting of the amplier. The amplier chassis and rack
ear are NOT designed to support anything other than the amplier. DO NOT stack components on top of the amplier.
It could damage the amplier’s chassis and also cause excessive thermal conditions.
>>GAIN ADJUSTMENT
Volume/gain adjustment controls the overall volume of the speakers connected to the amplier.
>>LOW PASS FILTER ADJUSTMENT
When enabled the Low Pass Filter Adjustment allows the amplier to be used with passive subwoofers such as those
commonly installed in ceilings, walls and oors. The control can be used in either stereo or bridged mode and is variable
from 50Hz to 150Hz.
>>BRIDGING
The power output of both channels can be combined to provide extra power when needed in certain areas. This is easily
accomplished by ipping a single switch and connecting the speaker as indicated.
>>POWER MODE
There are three choices for power modes with an Episode amplier; ‘On’, ‘Auto’ and ‘Trigger’. When the ‘On’ mode is
enabled, your amplier will remain on as long as it is plugged in to power and the main power switch on the front panel
is switched to the on position. If the ‘Trigger’ mode is chosen, the amplier will turn on when a voltage of 3-30 volts
(AC or DC) is applied and remains on the 3.5mm trigger input jack. Tip is positive for this connection. The ‘Auto’ mode
works in a similar fashion. Power will turn on whenever a minimal amount of signal is detected on the CH 1 or CH 2
RCA jacks and off again when no signal is present after approximately 15 minutes. Auto turn-on mode will not sense
audio connected to the channel Line-In RCA jacks – use either On or Trigger mode when using these connections.
