4 Operation
4.1 Safety information for the user
DANGER!
Danger of hearing damage!
Using earphones or headphones at high volume can result
in permanent hearing damage.
– Do not set the volume too high.
DANGER!
UV radiation
Danger of skin and eye injuries or skin diseases!
– Please observe the following instructions.
The following people may not use the device:
y People under 18 years of age
y People who cannot tan
y People who cannot tan in the sun whithout risking a sunburn
y People who easily sunburn when in the sun
y People with acute sunburn
y People who repeatedly suffered from serious sunburn during childhood
y People with naturally red hair
y People with atypically discoloured areas of skin
y People who have or have had skin cancer
y People who suffer from an increased risk of skin cancer (e.g. cases of
skin cancer in the family)
y People among whose closest relatives a melanoma has occurred
y People who are being medically treated for photosensitivity
y People taking photosensitivity causing medicine
y People with freckles and people who tend to develop freckles
y People with more than 16 moles on their body (2 mm diameter or larger)
y People with atypical moles (atypical moles are, for example, asymmetri-
cal moles with a diameter greater than 5 mm, with varying pigmentation
and irregular edges)
– Seek medical advice without fail if in doubt!
