Using Your Evinrude E-TEC Outboard
Important On-Product Labels
This outboard comes with hang tags and la-
bels containing important safety information
about the operation of the outboard. Any per-
son who operates this outboard should read
and understand this safety information.
Labels
All outboards have the following labels at-
tached:
Warning Symbols
The following symbols are used together to in-
dicate “CAUTION: Read the engine’s Opera-
tor’s Guide before proceeding.”
Manufacturing Date
A two-character code is used to indicate the
month and year of manufacture, following the
U.S. EPA model year naming convention.
• The first character is the year.
• The second character is the month
(January=A, February = B, March = C, etc.).
