PINPOINT TEST E: THE WASHER PUMP IS INOPERATIVE — FRONT
NOTE: Complete the entire Pinpoint Test related to the symptom before replacing the GEM.
Remove the jumper wire from windshield wiper motor C165.
Connect a jumper wire between windshield wiper motor C165-1, Circuit 671 (LB) and the
positive battery terminal.
Does the PID WPPRKSW indicate PARKED when C165-1 is grounded and notPRK
when 12 volts is applied?
Yes
REPLACE the windshield wiper motor; REFER to Motor—Windshield Wiper. CLEAR the
DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPLACE the GEM; REFER to Section 419-10. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for
normal operation.
