HOW

AutoRoast
Step 1:Insert temperatureprobe
intomeat and plug the probe firmly
intoovenwall receptacle.
Step 2: TouchAU10 ROASTpad.
The time of day disappears and
“Auto”appears on displayand
“Enter Auto Roast” flashes.
Step4: TouchSTART.AutoRoast
Codenumberdisappears,Display
shows“AutoRoast”and “-80”
untilfoodtemperaturereaches
80°F.Thendisplayshowsactual
foodtemperatureasitrises.When
foodreachestheprogrammed
temperatureforproperdegreeof
doneness,thedisplayshows“End”
andtheovensignalsandturnsoff.

Q. When I cook poultry,the thin,
small areas like legsand wings
often overcook beforethe rest of
the bird is thoroughly cooked.
How can
I preventthis?
A. Thin, uneven portions of poultry
may be shielded with aluminum
foilduring cooking, Do not allow
foil to touch shelf or oven sides,
arcing may occur.

givesveryaccurateresults,butthis
time it didn’t. What happened?
A.
Ifthetemperatureprobeis
positionedtouchingfatorbone,an
inaccuratereadingmayresult.Be
sureto place theprobe insolid
muscle, usuallythe thickest,
meatiestpart ofthe roastor
poultry,or inthe center ofa
meatloafor casserole.
Q. Meats
oftentakelongerthan
indicatedinthechartstoreach
thedesiredinternaltemperature.
Why?
A.
If the meat isrecentlydefrosted
and stillvery cold or icyinside, it
will require a longercookingtime
than meat which has been merely
refrigerated. Timesshownin the
charts are usuallyfor meatsthat are
refrigerator temperature.
Q. When I tried to programmy
ovenfor CombinationAuto
Roast, it beeped and flashed
“PROB? What did I do wrong?
A. Auto Roastcannotbe
prog
rammedwithoutthetemperature
probe connected tothe ovenwall
receptacle.Toeliminatethe “PROB”
displayand continueprogramming
the oven,just securely insert the
probe into the receptacle.
Q. WhenI touchedthe STARTpad
the displayshowed“-80’9 instead
of the food temperature. Why?
A. If the temperature of the food is
lowerthan 80”F.the displaywill
indicate
–80” until actual food
temperaturereaches 80°F. Then the
display will showthe internal food
temperature as it continues to rise.
Q. Do mostmeatsrequire
time after Combination Auto
Roasting?
A. Youmay wantto let meats stand
briefly. to allow easier carving and
serving. Most meat roasts continue
to cook for a few minutes after
removing from the oven. Check th
