The,oven has a speciaXlow Fack(R)
position iust above th_ oven bottom. Use
it when extra cookingspace is needed,
for example, when cooking a large
turkey. The rack is not designed to slide
out at this position.

Preheating and Pan Placement
Preheatthe ovenifthe recipecallsfor it.
Topreheat,setthe ovenat the correct
temperature. Preheatingis necessaryfor
good resultswhen baking cakes,cookies,
pastry and breads.
Forovenswithouta preheat indicatorlight or
tone,preheat10minutes.
Bakingresultswill be betterif baking pans
are centeredinthe oven as much as possible.
Pansshouldnottouch each other orthe walls
ofthe oven.If you needto usetwo racks,
staggerthe panssoone isnot directly above
the other,andleaveapproximately 1Y2"
betweenpans,from the front, back and
sidesofthe wall.
Aluminum Foil
Donot usealuminum foil on the bottom of
the oven.
Neverentirelgcover o rack with aluminum
foil.Thiswilldisturb the heat circulationand
resultin poor baking.
Asmallersheetof foilmay be usedto catch a
spilloverby placingit on a lower racksevera!

Oven Hoisture
Asyour ovenheatsup,the temperature
changeofthe air in the oven may cause
water dropletsto form onthe door glass,
Thesedropletsare harmlessand will
evaporateasthe ovencontinuesto
heat up.
