4-4 Windows Vista ReadyBoost
Windows ReadyBoost allows you to use a USB flash drive with Window Vista certified, as virtual
memory. ReadyBoost can be a modest substitute for adding additional RAM to speed up your
computer.
Follow the steps below to enable the ReadyBoost function:
Step 1:
Open Computer from hierarchical menu.
Secondly, select the item in accordance with USB flash drive and then
choose Properties from tear-off menu.
Step 2:
In the ReadyBoost tab, choose Use this device and adjust the
reserved space for ReadyBoost in the bar under Space to reserve
for system speed. Click Apply and then OK to activate ReadyBoost
function.
• The USB flash drive has to have above 256 MB of memory capacity.
• The recommend amount of memory to use for ReadyBoost acceleration is one to three times
the amount of RAM installed in your computer.
