Remove Mower Drive Belt
See Figure 36.
1. Remove PTO belt from jackshaft. See
Remove PTO Belt on page 29.
2. Relieve spring tension and remove spring
from bracket.
3. Remove mower drive belt.
Install Mower Drive Belt
See Figure 36.
1. Install mower drive belt.
2. Verify that there are no twists in belts and
that they are routed correctly.
3. Reinstall spring to bracket.
4. Reinstall PTO belt. See Install PTO Belt
on page 29.
Remove Transmission Belt
1. Pull back idler arm and remove
transmission belt. See Figure 37.
Install Transmission Belt
See Figure 37.
1. Install new transmission belt.
2. Verify that there are no twists in belts and
that they are routed correctly.
REMOVE / INSTALL MOWER
DECK
Remove Deck
1. Place unit in service position. See
Service Position on page 19.
2. Remove PTO belt from clutch. See
Remove PTO Belt on page 29.
NOTICE: Position supports such as blocks or
jack stands under each side of the deck.
3. Slowly lower deck until it rests on
supports.
4. Remove hardware securing mower lift
links to the deck. See Figure 38.
5. Remove and retain drag link hardware.
See Figure 39.
6. Slide deck out from under unit.
