All parts and hardware must be tightened securely to
ensure safe operation of unit. Use correct tools to
ensure proper tightness.
1. Remove unit and all other components from the
shipping container.
2. Remove the handlebar from shaft, turn over and
replace so the handle grips are up and angle
towards the front of the unit.
3. Remove seat cushion from the seat assembly.
4. Install two 5/16 x .75" long bolts with washers
through holes in front of the seat and seat
springs. Secure with locknuts. Install two 5/16"
bolts with washers through rear holes of seat and
rear slots of seat springs. Install seat brace under
seat springs and secure with locknuts.
5. Connect the wiring harness to the seat
connectors.
6. Check unit for loose hardware.
7. Check tire pressure and adjust if needed to 15 psi
(97 kPa).
8. Fill engine crankcase. The unit is shipped without
oil in the engine crankcase. Refer to engine
manual for proper oil type and crankcase
capacity.
9. Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to the
Maintenance
section.
10. Fill the engine fuel tank. Refer to the engine
manual for proper type and capacity.
11. Remove battery and bring to a safe work area.
Fill battery to the bottom of the fill tubes with
1.265 Specific Gravity electrolyte. Wait at least 20
minutes and charge the battery. Refer to the
charger manufacturer’s instructions for safe
procedure. See

for warnings and more information.
12. Attach mower to the front of the unit (see mower
Owner/Operator Manual).
13. Check the safety interlock system. See the
Maintenance
section for more information.
14. Check the function of all controls. Refer to
Operation
for controls and features
.
