FILLING THE TANK

Liquids to be sprayed must be as thin as water. Thicker
liquidswillnotsprayproperly.
Donotoverfillthetank.
Removethebatterypack.
Unscrewthemeasuringcapandremoveitfromthetank.
Fill the tank with the desired amount of water (up to 2 gal-
lons).
Measuretherecommendedamountofliquid.Themea-
suringcapmaybeusedformeasuringupto4oz.
Carefullypourtheliquidintothetank.
Rinsethemeasuringcapwithcleanwater.
Screw the measuring cap back onto the sprayer, making
sureitistightenedsecurely.
Reinstallthebatterypack.
Spray solutions may be premixed and poured into the
sprayer,usingafunnelifneeded.
NOTE: If using a measuring container other than the mea-
suring cap, or if using a funnel to fill the tank, be sure to
thoroughlycleanandrinsetheseitemsafteruse.Ifpremix-
ingthespraysolution,rinsethecontainerusedformixing.
NOTICE:
It is important to thoroughly clean the unit after each
use. Allowing liquid to remain in an idle tool for an
extended period may cause its moving pieces and
connectorstoseizeup.

Installthebatterypackintothetool.
DepresstheON/OFFbuttontostartthemotor.
The sprayer may be operated with the handle resting in
thehandlestorageareaasshowninfigure10,oryoumay
removeandholdthehandleasshowninfigure11.
Aimthesprayernozzledirectlyattheplantsorobjects
youwishtospray.
NOTE: Makesuretostandfarenoughfromtheobject
beingsprayedtopreventthesprayfromsplashingback
ontoyou.
Depressthetriggertostartthespray.
Releasethetriggertostopthespray.
Alwaysempty,clean,anddrainthetankaftereveryuse
as directed in the Maintenancesection.
NOTE: Thoroughly clean the chemical sprayer before
storingorbeforeswitchingtoadifferentchemical.See
Cleaning the Unitlaterinthismanual.
When you are finished with the sprayer, thoroughly wash
your hands and any area where skin has been exposed
tothespray.
OPERATING TIPS
Never point the spray end of the wand at yourself or
others.
Avoidsprayingonwindydays.Spraycanbeaccidentally
blownontoplantsorobjectsthatshouldnotbesprayed.
Neversprayinthedirectionofpeopleoranimals;always
spraydownwind.
Especially in warmer weather, spray in the early morning
orlateafternoon.Excessiveheatcanevaporatethespray
beforeitsettles.
Neversmoke,eat,ordrinkwhileoperatingthesprayer.
WARNING:
Alwaysweareyeprotectionwithsideshieldsorgoggles
markedtocomplywithANSIZ87.1alongwithbreath-
ingprotection.Failureto do socould resultin fluids
enteringyoureyesresultinginpossibleseriousinjury.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the
battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing
anymaintenance.
