 Polarized plugs. Toreducetheriskofelectricshock,
thistoolhasapolarizedplug(onebladeiswiderthan
theother).Thisplugwillfitinapolarizedoutletonlyone
way.Iftheplugdoesnotfitfullyintheoutlet,reversethe
plug.Ifitstilldoesnotfit,contactaqualifiedelectrician
toinstalltheproperoutlet.Donotchangethepluginany
way.
Disconnect tools. Unplugthevacuumcleanerwhennot
inuse,beforeservicing,orwhenchangingattachments.
Avoid accidental starting. Besureswitchisoffwhen
plugginginanytool.
Never leave tool running unattended. Turn the power
off.
Do not abuse cord. Neveryankcordtodisconnectfrom
receptacle.Keep cord awayfrom heat,oil, andsharp
edges.
Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on and off.
Havedefective switchesreplaced byan authorized
servicecenter.
Inspect tool cords periodically.Ifdamaged, have
repairedbyaqualifiedservicetechnicianatanauthorized
servicefacility. The conductor with insulation having
anouter surfacethat isgreen withor withoutyellow
stripesistheequipment-groundingconductor.Ifrepair
orreplacementoftheelectriccordorplugisnecessary,
donotconnecttheequipment-groundingconductortoa
liveterminal.Repairorreplaceadamagedorworncord
immediately.Stayconstantlyawareofcordlocationand
keepitwellawayfromtherotatingbrushes.
Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if
damaged.
When servicing use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
productdamage.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
Contain long hair. Keep your hair, loose clothing,
fingers, and all parts of the body and clothing, away
from openings and moving parts. Looseclothes,
jewelry,orlonghaircanbecaughtininternalmovingparts.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. Properfootingandbalanceenablesbetter
controloftheproductinunexpectedsituations.Donot
useonaladderorunstablesupport.
Use safety equipment. Dustmask must be used for
appropriateconditions.
Do not allow children to operate product or play with
productasatoy.Closeattentionisnecessarywhenused
byornearchildren.
 Use this product ONLY for its intended use as
described in this manual.Useonly the attachments
recommendedinthismanual.
If product is not working properly, has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return
to your nearest service center.
 Do not handle plug or power cord with wet hands.
 This tool has a precision-built electric motor. It should
be connected to a power supply that is 120 V, AC only
(normal household current), 60 Hz. Donotoperatethis
toolondirectcurrent(DC).Asubstantialvoltagedropwill
causealossofpowerandthemotorwilloverheat.Ifthe
tooldoesnotoperatewhenpluggedintoanoutlet,double
checkthepowersupply.
 Do not put any objects in ventilation openings.Donot
usewithanyopeningblocked.Keepopeningsfreeofdust,
lint,hair,andanythingthatmayreduceairflow.
 NEVER vacuum materials that are burning or smoking,
such as hot coals, cigarette butts, matches, burning
or smoking ashes, etc.
 DO NOT use to pick up flammable or combustible
liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they
may be present.
 Do not use without dirt cup or filter in place.
 Use extra care when using vacuum hose or accessories
on stairs. Toavoidpersonalinjuryordamage,andto
preventthevacuumfromfalling,alwaysplacevacuumat
bottomofstairsonfloor.Donotplacevacuumonstairs
orfurniture.
 Do not use to pick up hard objects such as nails,
screws, coins, etc.Damageorinjurycouldresult.
 Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely
damaged.
Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the
operation is dusty. Followingthisrulewillreducetherisk
ofseriouspersonalinjury.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the product’s operation. If damaged, have the
product serviced before using. Many accidents are
causedbypoorlymaintainedproducts.
