OPERATION

PlugthevacuumintoanACpowersupply.
To start the vacuum:
presstheON/OFFbuttononce
forHIGHspeed.PresstheON/OFFbuttonagainfor
LOWspeed
.
To stop the vacuum:
presstheON/OFFbuttonathird
time
.
TURNING OFF THE ROLLER BRUSH
See Figure 4, page 8.
Therollerbarcanbeusedwiththerollerbrushturnedoff.
To cancel the roller brush:
Pressthebrushrotationbutton,locatedbehindtheON/
OFFbuttontocanceltheuseoftherollerbrush.
To reactivate the roller brush:
Pressthebrushrotationbuttonagaintoturntheroller
brushbackon.
NOTE:Ifvacuumisturnedoffwhiletherollerbrushisoff,
whenthevacuumisturnedbackon,therollerbrushwill
defaulttotheONsetting.
ATTACHING AND REMOVING ACCESSORY
TOOLS

Theextension wand and accessory tools can be used
togetherorseparatelyforavarietyofcleaningtasks.
Unplugthevacuum.
Remove the handle from the extension wand or pull
thehandleandextensionwandupandawayfromthe
vacuum.
Inserttheaccessorytoolintotheopeningonthehandle
ortheextensionwand.
Presstogetheruntilitfitssecurely.
To remove accessory tools:
Unplugthevacuum.
Pulltheaccessorytoolawayfromthehandleorextension
wand.
USING THE VACUUM

Rollthevacuumtotheitemorsurfaceyouwanttoclean.
To vacuum with an accessory tool:
Remove the handle from the extension wand or pull
thehandleandextensionwandupandawayfromthe
vacuum.
Attachthedesiredaccessorytool.
PlugthevacuumintoanACpowersupply.
Starttheunitandbeginvacuuming.
Whenvacuumingiscomplete,stoptheunit,disconnect
itfromthepowersource,andwrapthecordaroundthe
retainer.
To vacuum with the roller bar:
Insertthehandleandextensionwandintothevacuum.
PlugthevacuumintoanACpowersupply.
Starttheunitandbeginvacuuming.
NOTE: Whenvacuuminghardfloors,itisrecommended
thatyouturntherollerbrushoff.Turntherollerbrushon
whenvacuumingcarpets.
Ifnecessary,steponthebackoftherollerbarandtiltor
swivelthevacuumtoavoidobstacles.
Whenvacuumingiscomplete,stoptheunit,disconnect
itfromthepowersource,andwrapthecordaroundthe
retainer.
EMPTYING/REMOVING/REATTACHING THE
DIRT CUP
See Figures 8 - 9, page 9.
Thedirt cup should be checked, emptied, and cleaned
periodicallyformaximumdustcollection.
To empty:
Unplugthevacuum.
Pressthedirtcupreleasebuttonandpullthedirtcup
awayfromthevacuum.
Holddirtcupoverwastereceptacle.
Presslockbuttononbottomofdirtcuptoreleasespring
loadeddoor.
Shakelightlyortapsidestodislodgedebris.
Closedoor,pressingfirmlyuntillockbuttonengages.
To reattach:
Positionthedirtcupandvacuumasshown.
Lowerthebottomofthedirtcupontothevacuumatan
angleandthenpushthetopofthedirtcuptowardthe
vacuumuntilthereleasebuttonclicksintoplace.
