Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Environment
□ Installing the driver
The driver of the Compute Blade 2000 / Compute Blade 320 Fibre Channel adapter is installed as standard when the OS is installed.
□ Checking the driver version
The version check procedure for the Compute Blade 2000 / Compute Blade 320 Fibre Channel adapter driver is as follows:
1. Turn on the power of the system unit, start Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and log on with "root".
2. Execute the following command:
# modinfo –F Version lpfc
3. Check the version displayed in [version].
# modinfo lpfc
filename: /lib/modules/<Kernel Version>/kernel/drivers/scsi/lpfc/lpfc.ko
version: x:x.x.x.xx.xx

□ Installing the “lpfc-install” script
The Installation procedure for “lpfc-install” script is as follows:
1. Turn on the power of the system unit, start Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and log on with "root".
2. Insert "Driver & Utility CD" into the CD/DVD drive.
3. Uncompress the archive corresponding to the OS architecture by the following command.
# tar zxvf lpfc-install.tar.gz -P
OS lpfc-install.tar.gz in Driver Kit CD
