Troubleshooting
NOTE: The following symptoms do not necessarily indicate the accessory malfunction. Before having your Honda dealer
repair the accessory, confirm that the ignition key can start your engine. If the engine does not start, have the dealer
check and troubleshoot your vehicle before repairing the accessory.
Consult with your Honda dealer for the problems other than those listed below and on the following pages.
Symptom

transmitter.

Set the gearshift lever in the “P” position.

Remove the ignition key from the ignition
switch. (page 12)
Close the door. (page 12)
Close the tailgate (or the hatch glass if
equipped) or the trunk lid. (page 12)
The gearshift lever is in a position other than
the “P” position.
The ignition key is inserted in the ignition
switch or when the engine start/stop button is
ACCESSORY.
The door is open.
The tailgate (or the hatch glass if equipped) or
the trunk lid is open.
The doors are unlocked.
The engine start/stop button turns OFF.

The system is in inhibition mode. Open the front door (either the driver-side
door or the passenger-side door) or turn on
