● Remove the battery (2 P. 50) to prevent
discharge.
Charge the battery in a shaded, well-ventilated
area.
u If you leave the battery in place, disconnect
the negative
- terminal to prevent
discharge.
After removing your motorcycle from storage,
inspect all maintenance items required by the
Maintenance Schedule.
Transporting Your
Motorcycle
If your motorcycle needs to be transported, it
should be carried on a motorcycle trailer or a
flatbed truck or trailer that has a loading ramp or
lifting platform, and motorcycle tie-down straps.
Never try to tow your motorcycle with a wheel or
wheels on the ground.
Towing your motorcycle can cause serious damage to the
transmission.
