Media drive option
1. Power down the server (on page 23).
2. Remove the existing media drive option or blank.
3. Slide the CD/DVD-ROM drive or diskette drive into the drive bay.
Redundant hot-plug AC power supply option
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
1. Access the product rear panel (on page 29).
2. Remove the power supply blank.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the power supply or
power supply blank to cool before touching it.
