IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal
and replacement
Before removing the SD card reader board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 32).
5. Disconnect the cable from the battery.
Remove the USB board:
1. Disconnect the USB board cable from the zero-insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) and pull the cable
under the keyboard cable (2).
2. Disconnect the cables from the 2 ZIF connectors on the USB board (3) and (4).
3. Remove the Phillips screw (5), and then lift the USB board to remove it (6).
Reverse this procedure to install the USB board.
