This guide is for service representatives only. Use this guide to perform a safety inspection of the 3931
server.
Attention:
IBM
®
service personnel: The task of using a meter and probes to take voltage measurements
on receptacles/outlets must be performed by a Qualied Electrical Worker (QEW) or licensed
electrician. In countries where IBM service personnel are not qualied to perform this task, the
IBM service person must notify the customer that they must arrange for a QEW (a licensed
electrician may be considered a QEW) to perform the receptacle testing.

Unless otherwise stated, throughout this document "3931" refers to the IBM z16™ (Model A01) or
