Preparing the KMM (keyboard, monitor, mouse)

Complete the following procedure to assemble the KMM (keyboard, monitor, mouse) support hardware:

__ 1. On KMM storage box cover (P/N 03FM971), remove shipping captive screw (P/N 15R7345) using

red handle torque tool. You must insert the tool through the cover's hexagon perforation, as shown

below.

Note: This captive screw should only be secured during system shipment, system transport, or if

the Earthquake feature is ordered and installed on the system.

__ 2. Place your two ng

ers into the two inserts on either side of the KMM storage box cover (P/N

03FM971) and pull towards you to remove.

Note: The cover should be stored inside the storage box while the KMM is in use.

__ 3. Retrieve the compact KMM from the KMM storage box.

__ 4. Retrieve the KMM support hardware assembly (P/N 02WN998) from the system ship group.

__ 5. Unscrew the KMM frame bracket (P/N 02WN484

) and the KMM mounting bracket (P/N 02WN482)

from the KMM support arm (P/N 02WN481).
