A Troubleshooting section is provided in the Appendix of this manual to aid you in the installation of your
IBM Ultrastar. If the answer to your installation question is not found in this manual, call one of the
Technology Support Centers. Before calling, please gather as much of the following information as
possible:
Ÿ IBM drive model number, part number, and serial number
Ÿ Operating system
Ÿ BIOS manufacturer, version, and date
Ÿ Any error codes and when they occurred
Ÿ System type and manufacturer
Ÿ Chipset manufacturer
Ÿ Adapter card manufacturer
Ÿ Other devices in systems
Ÿ Bus/cable layout (location of device, which device is at the end, etc.)
Ÿ Applications used (if relevant)
