Figure 20 : LNB Skew Angle Adjustment
LNB Skew Angle
The LNB skew angle only needs to be adjusted when the target satellite
uses linear polarization. In order to receive the maximized satellite
signal level, the LNB skew angle must be adjusted according to the
calculation of current GPS location and target satellite.
It only needs to be adjusted when changing from satellite to another, or
when the boat has traveled a signicant geographic distance. It should
NOT need to be readjusted if the boat stays in the same location and is
operating on the same satellite.
LNB Skew Angle Adjustment for i6
Polarization of your Intellian i6 antenna must be accomplished manually
by the following steps.
1. Remove the upper part of radome after switching power OFF.
2. Loosen the 4 bolts that connect the LNB and feed horn.
3. T urn the LNB and place it at the angle indicated on the back of the
feed horn.
4. Tighten the 4 bolts.
