Lubricating procedure for the hook portion
1) Fill the JUKI New Defrix Oil No. 2 into the oil tank from
lubrication hole

until red line

is reached. Check the
amount of oil in the oil tank once a day. If the oil level in
the oil tank is lower than red line

, re-fill the oil until red
line

is reached.
2) Loosen nut

and use oil amount adjusting screw

to adjust the amount of oil in the hook. Turn the screw
clockwise

to increase the amount of oil in the hook
or counterclockwise

to decrease it.
The appropriate amount of oil in the hook is to such
an extent that the amount of oil (oil splashes) makes a
slight line in approximately five seconds when a sheet
of paper is placed near the periphery of the hook while
the sewing machine is in operation as shown in the
figure on the left.
