AUTO REVERSE
OPERATION
The auto reverse operation of this unit turns
the tape transport over to the reverse of
forward direction automatically when the tape
reaches its end during recording or playback.
e Because of cassette shell construction, a
tape recorded in the forward direction
should be played back in the same
direction to obtain stable sound
reproduction.
e During recording, auto reverse can be
activated only from the forward to the
reverse direction. For good sound quality
and to avoid accidental erasure of
previously recorded material, always start
recording with the side A of the tape
facing out.
CAUTIONS
1. Prevention of Electric Shocks, Fire
Hazards and Damage
1)Even when the POWER switch is set to
STANDBY, a very small current will flow.
To save power and for safety when not
using the unit for an extended period of
time, disconnect the power cord from the
household AC outlet.
2)Do not handie the power cord with wet
hands.
3)When unplugging from the wall outlet,
always grasp and pull the plug, not the
power cord.
4)Consult your nearest dealer when
damage, disconnection, or contact failure
is found with the cord.
5)Do not bend the cord sharply, or pull or
twist it.
6)Do not modify the power cord in any
manner.
7)Do not remove screws to disassemble the
unit and do not touch anything inside the
unit.
8)Do not insert any metallic objects into the
unit.
9)Unplug the power cord when there is a
possibility of lightning.
10)If water gets inside the unit, unplug the
power cord from the outlet and consult
your dealer.
11)Do not block the ventilation holes of the
unit so that heat can escape. Do not
install the unit in a badly ventilated place.
12)Be sure to unplug the power cord from the
outlet when going out or when the unit is
not in use for an extended period of time.
UMKEHRAUTOMATIK
Mit der Umkehrautomatik dieses Gerats wird
der Bandtransport automatisch in die
umgekehrte Richtung umgeschaitet, wenn bei
der Aufnahme oder Wiedergabe das
Bandende erreicht wird.
e Wegen der Schalenkonstruktion der
Cassette wird ein in Vorwartsrichtung
bespieltes Band in der selben Richtung
wiedergegeben, um eine bestandige
Tonwiedergabe zu gewahren.
e Wahrend der aufnahme kann die
Umkehrautomatik nur von der Vorwarts-in
die Ruckwa4rtsrichtung betatigt werden.
Um eine gute Tonqualitat zu gewahren
und eineversehentliche L6éschung eines
fruher aufgenommenen Programms zu
verhindern, sollte die Aufnahme stets mit
Seite A nach auben gerichtet begonnen
werden.
VORSICHTSMASS-
NAHMEN
1. Schutz vor elektrischen Schlagen,
Feuergefahr und Schaden.
1)Selbst wenn der Netzschalter (POWER)
auf STANDBY gestellt ist, fliebt immer
noch ein wenig Strom. Um Strom zu
sparen und fur die Sicherheit, sollten sie
das Netzkabel von der
Haushaltswechselstrom-Netzsteckdose
abtrennen, wenn Sie das Gerat Uber
einen langeren Zeitraum hinweg nicht
benutzen.
2)Fassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht mit
nassen Handen an.
3)Ziehen Sie beim Abtrennen von der
Wandsteckdose niemals am Kabel,
sondern immer am Stecker.
4) Kontaktieren Sie Ihren Verkaufer, wenn es
mit dem Kabel zu Schaden, Abtrennungen
oder Kontaktausfallen kommt.
5)Dehnen Sie das Kabel nicht stark, ziehen
Sie nicht daran und wickeln Sie es auch
nicht auf.
6) Verandern Sie das Netzkabel in keinster
Weise.
7)Entfernen Sie keine Schrauben, um das.
Gerat auseinanderzunehmen- und
berthren Sie nichts im Inneren des
Gerates.
8) Bringen Sie keine Metaligegenstande in
das Innere des Gerates.
9)Trennen Sie das Netzkabel bei
Gewittergefahr ab.
10)Solite einmal Wasser in das Innere des
Gerates gelangen, trennen Sie das
Netzkabel von der Netzsteckdose ab und
konsultieren Sie Ihren Verkaufer.
11)Blockieren Sie nicht die Beliiftungsschlitze
des Gerates, damit die Hitze entweichen
kann. Installieren Sie das Gerat nicht an
einem schiecht beliifteten Ort.
12)Achten Sie darauf, dab Sie das Netzkabel
von der Netzsteckdose abtrennen, wenn
Sie weggehen oder wenn Sie das Gerat
Uber einen langeren Zeitraum hinweg
nicht benutzen. 3

AUTOMATIQUE
Le dispositif de retour automatique de cet
entraine entraine automatiquement la bande
dans la direction inverse quand la bande
arrive en bout de course pendant
l'enregistrement et la lecture.
e A cause de la structure des boitiers des
cassettes, une bande, enregistrée en
direction avant, doit étre {ue dans la
méme direction pour obtenir une
reproduction sonore stable.
e Pendant lenregistrement, le retour ne
peut se produire que d’avant en arriére.
Pour une bonne qualité sonore et pour
éviter un effacement accidentel
d’enregistrements antérieurs, toujours
commencer a enregistrer par le céte A
tourné vers l’extérieur.
PRECAUTIONS A
OBSERVER
1. Protection contre I’électrocution,
Vincendie et des dommages.
1)Méme si l'interrupteur d'alimentation
(POWER) est réglé en mode veille
(STANDBY), une quantité faible de
courant passe dans l'appareil. Pour
économiser l'énergie et par mesure de
sécurité, débrancher le cordon
d'alimentation de la prise secteur, lorsqu’il
n'est pas utilisé pendant une période
prolongée.
2) Ne pas manipuler le cordon d’alimentation
avec des mains mouillées.
3)Lors du débranchement de ta prise
secteur, toujours saisir la fiche et ne pas
tirer le cordon.
4) Contacter le revendeur le plus proche si
l'appareil est endommagé, ou en cas de
probleme de déconnexion ou de contact
avec le cordon.
5)Ne pas plier le cordon, ne pas le tirer ou
torsader.
6)Ne pas jamais modifier le cordon
d’alimentation.
7)Ne pas retirer la vis. pour démonter
l'appareil et ne pas toucher les pieces a
Vintérieur de l'appareil.
8)Ne pas insérer des objets métalliques
dans l'appareil.
9) Débrancher le cordon d'alimentation s'il y
a des risques de foudre.
10)Si de l'eau pénétre a lVintérieur de
Vappareil, débrancher le cordon
d’alimentation de !a prise secteur et
contacter le revendeur.
11)Ne pas obstruer les trous de ventilation de
l'appareil pour permettre la dissipation de
la chaleur. Ne pas installer l'appareil dans
un endroit mal ventilé.
12)S’assurer de débrancher te cordon
d’alimentation de la prise secteur en
sortant ou quand l’appareil n'est pas
utilisé pendant une longue période.
