PRESSURE WASHER
OPERATOR’S MANUAL
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Unauthorized machine modication or
use of non-approved replacement parts may cause
personal injury and/or property damage and will void
the manufacturer warranty.
DANGER: Risk of injury by inadvertent start-up of
appliance and electric shock. Prior to all work on
the appliance, switch off the appliance and pull the
power plug.
MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
Weekly
• Clean the sieve in the water connection.
• Clean the ne lter.
• Clean the fuel sieve.
• Check oil level.
ATTENTION: Risk of damage! In case of lacteous oil
inform Kärcher customer service immediately.
Monthly
• Clean lter at the detergent suck hose.
Every 500 operating hours, at least annually
• Oil change.
• Have the maintenance of the device performed by the
customer service.
MAINTENANCE WORKS
Clean the sieve in the water connection
• Take out sieve.
• Clean sieve in water and reinstall.
Cleaning the ne lter (not HDS 2.2/12 Ed)
• Unpressurize the appliance.
• Unscrew the ne lter from the pump head.
• Remove the ne lter and the lter insert.
• Clean the lter with clean water or compressed air.
• Reinstall in reverse sequence.
Clean lter at the detergent suck hose
• Take out detergent suck supports.
• Clean lter in water and reinstall.
Oil change
• Ready a catch bin for appr. 0.26 gal/1 Liter oil.
• Loosen release screw.
Dispose of old oil ecologically or turn in at a gathering
point.
• Tighten release screw.
• Fill oil slowly up to the MAX marking.
Note: Air pockets must be able to leak out.
For oil type refer to technical specications.
Proper Pump Care
• DO NOT pump acids.
• DO NOT allow pump to run dry.
• Winterize if storing in freezing temperatures, refer to
Storage for details.
• Use a water softener on the water system if known to
be high in mineral content.
• Use only high quality detergents and follow manufacturer’s
mix recommendations.
• Flush the system with clear water immediately after
using detergent solutions.
• Clean lter screen on detergent inlet line periodically.
• Flush the pressure washer system with antifreeze if
storing for an extended period of time, refer to Storage
for details.
Suggestion to lift the appliance with a crane using a sling.
CAUTION: Risk of damage! Not recommended to load
the appliance with a forklift.
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or damage! Mind the
weight of the appliance during transport.
When transporting in vehicles, secure the appliance
according to the guidelines from slipping and tipping over.
ATTENTION: Protect trigger gun, lance and hose reel
from damage during transport. It’s not suggested to
transport with accessories mounted on the appliance.
