Listening to a broadcast
M@ Receiving broadcast stations and storing them in memory (preset operation)
Select the TUNER input with the input
selector.

@ Previous reception mode is resumed.
e@ Pressing the BAND key also set the unit to tuner mode.
Select the broadcast band (FM, AM).

e Each time the BAND key is pressed, the reception band
changes between FM and AM.
Enter the AUTO tuning mode.

e@ The indicator goes on (auto) and off (manual) alter-
nately every time the key is pressed. Normally, select
the auto tuning mode.
When AUTO is ON: The stereo / monaural is switched
automatically according to the sta-
tion.
When AUTO is OFF: Monaural reception is forced. Set to
this position when receiving sta-
tions with weak waves.

The TUNED indicator lights up when a station is re-
ceived.
When the TUNING UP key Is pressed, the frequency
increases.
When the TUNING DOWN key is pressed, the fre-
quency decreases.
Use manual tuning mode in case the radio wave is
weak and noisy. At this time, the stereo FM broadcast
is received in monaural made.
Auto tuning mode
Press once. (Tuning stops automatically when a station {
is received.)
Manual tuning mode
Press repeatedly, or press and hoid, until the station is
received.
Store the stations in preset memory.
@ Press the MEMORY key.

@ MEMORY indicator lights up for about 5 seconds.
Proceed the step @ while the MEMORY indicator is |
lighted.
@ Press the numeric keys to preset the station.

To select preset No. 10, [* 10], [6]
To select preset No. 20, ‘ [ol]
e A total of 20 stations can be preset in memory re-
gardiless of their broadcast bands.
e if a station has been preset under the numeric key
pressed, the previous preset content is replaced by the
new station.
Repeat step 2 to 5 above for each of other stations to
be preset.
