STAND
BY
mode

POWER

When
the
power
cord
of
this
system
is
plugged
into
an
AC
outlet,
the
STAND
BY
indicator
lights
up
regardless
of
the
ON/OFF
setting
of
the
POWER
switch.
This
indi-
cates
that
a
small
amount
of
current
is
being
supplied
to
the
unit
to
back
up
the
memory
contents.
This
mode
is
referred
to
as
the
Stand
By
mode.
While
the
STAND
BY
indicator
is
lit,
the
power
can
be
switched
ON/OFF
from
the
remote
control
unit
with
the
amplifier
connected
with
the
system
control
cord.

operation
1.
Set
the
deck’s
TIMER
switch
to
OFF.
2.
Press
the
EJECT
key

for
the
deck
to
be
used
for
playback.
3.
Insert
a
cassette
and
close
the
cassette
holder
securely.

optimum
playback
condition
is
set
automatically
ac-
cording
to
the
type
of
tape,
i.e.
Metal,
chrome
(CrO2)
or
normal.
4.
Set
the
DOLBY
NR
switch
according
to
the
NR
mode
of
the
cassette
tape.
5.
Set
the
DIRECTION
switch
according
to
the
desired
play-
back
direction.
