8.6 Attaching weighing platforms
All analog weighing platforms can be attached to the terminals if they conform to the required specifications (see chapter
8.5). A second weighing platform can be attached to terminals equipped with the optional analog interface (OptionPac).
Compact two-scale systems can therefore be constructed using just one terminal.
8.6.1 Instructions on weighing cells
Cells with or without SENSE lines
In case the weighing platform employs a measuring cell without SENSE lines, the pins "+Ex" (Excitation) and "+Se" (Sense)
must be short-circuited at the connector, as well as pins "–Ex" and "–Se".
Cells without SENSE lines Cells with SENSE lines
(required for certifiable weighing systems)
Attaching weighing platforms with several weighing cells
Up to 4 weighing cells can be connected in parallel to a terminal. These weighing cells can be connected in the usual way
using a junction box.
The sum of the rated capacities of the individual cells corresponds to the total capacity of the weighing system. When entering
the weighing capacities in the menu-driven dialog (chapter 7.7.4), the values should be selected so that the individual cells
are not overloaded!
