Automatic decompression
With the engine at a standstill and up to a rate of about 300 RPM,
spring1,acting onweights2 and 3vialever 4 andpin 5, keepsthe
exhaustvalveopenduringthecompressionphasealso.
Once the engine exceeds the 300 RPM rate, weights 1 and 2 keep
pin5intheholdpositionowingtotheactionofthecentrifugalforce.In
thisposition,cam6canregularlycontroltheexhaustvalvethankstoa
ridgeonthepinitself.
Sincethereisthennocompressioninthecylinder,theenginewillea-
silystartwhentheself-winderisused.
Camshaft end play
Perform this check before tting cylinder head and tappets including
theinjectiontappets.
Temporarilytcamshaft1completewithwasher;tightengearcover2
to25Nm.
Checkendplaybymovingthecamshaftbackandforthusingasuita-
bletool;theendplayvalueis0.10÷0.25mmandisnotadjustable.
Dynamic balancer (on request)
Thedynamicbalancerissupportedbytwoidenticalballbearingshou-
sedinthecrankcaseandinthegearcoveronthetimingsiderespec-
tively.
