Info
Drain the engine oil only when the engine is warm.
Preparatory work
– Remove the front spoiler. ( p. 91)
– Stand the motorcycle on its side stand on a horizontal surface.

Main work
– Place a suitable container under the engine.

Remove oil drain plug
with the O-ring.

Remove oil screen
with the O-ring.
–
Remove screw plug
with oil screen
.
– Completely drain the engine oil.
– Thoroughly clean the oil drain plugs and oil screens.
–
Position oil screen
and mount and tighten oil drain plug
with the O-ring.
Guideline
Oil drain plug M24x1.5 15 Nm
(11.1 lbf ft)
–
Mount and tighten screw plug
with oil screen
and the O-ring.
Guideline
Oil screen screw plug, small M17x1.5 12 Nm (8.9 lbf ft)
