(1) PTO clutch lever
(A) On (engage)
(B) Off (disengage)
NOTE :
The tractor engine will not start if the PTO-
clutch-lever is in the engaged ON
position.
When you stand up from the seat with the PTO-
clutch-lever at the engaged ON
position, the
engine will stop regardless of the position of
the PTO select lever. This is because that the
tractor is equipped with operator-presence-
control-system (OPC).
3. PTO shaft cover and PTO shaft
cap
WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
Before connecting or disconnecting a drive
shaft to PTO shaft, be sure that the engine is off
and raise up the PTO-shaft-cover.
Afterward be sure to return the PTO-shaft-cover
to the normal position.
IMPORTANT :
The universal joint of the PTO-drive-shaft is
technically limited in its moving angle. Refer to
the PTO Drive Shaft Instructions for proper use.
Keep the PTO-shaft-cover in place at all times. Keep
the PTO-shaft-cap when the PTO is not in use.

4. Using stationary PTO
To park the tractor and use the PTO system for chipper
or pump, for example, start the PTO system in the
following steps.
1. Apply the parking brake and place blocks at the
tires.
2. Make sure that all shift levers are in their neutral
position, and start the engine.
3. Set the PTO-select-lever to the Rear-PTO (Rear
only)
position.
4. Get off the seat and tilt up it.
5. Move the seat-lock-lever behind the seat frame in
the arrow direction in the following figure to release
the seat lock, and lift the seat forward.
(1) Seat lock lever
(2) Seat
(A) Unlock
6. Set the PTO-clutch-lever to the on (engage)
position.
7. Set the engine speed appropriately to provide
recommend rear PTO speed.
