TRANSPORT Lift truck
IMPORTANT
Ensure that the platform safety instructions are correctly applied before the loading of the lift truck and that the driver
of the means of transport is informed about the dimensions and the weight of the lift truck
(
2 - DESCRIPTION: CHARACTERISTICS).
Ensure that the platform is of sufficient size and load capacity for transporting the lift truck.
Check also the allowable ground contact pressure of the platform relative to the lift truck.
LOADING THE LIFT TRUCK
- Block the wheels of the platform.
- Attach the loading ramps to the platform in such a way as to give the shallowest
possible ramp angle for the lift truck.
- Load the lift truck parallel to the platform.
- Shut down the lift truck ( 1 - OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: DRIVING
INSTRUCTIONS UNLADEN AND LADEN).
STOWING THE LIFT TRUCK
- Fix the chocks to the platform at the front and at the back of each tyre.
- Also fix the chocks to the platform on the inside of each tyre.
- Secure the lift truck to the platform with sufficiently strong ropes:
• At the front, to the anchoring points 1
• At the rear, to the slinging and anchoring pin 2.
- Tighten the ropes.
SLING Lift truck
- Take into account the position of the lift truck centre of gravity for lifting.
A = 993 mm B = 903 mm MC18-2
A = 1013 mm B = 887 mm MC18-4
- Place the hooks in the fastening points 1 provided.
