Unscrew the spare wheel from the spare
wheel bracket.

Remove the retaining plate through the
centre hole of the wheel rim.
Positioning the jack
Steel-sprung front axle
X
Flat tyre on the left-hand side of the vehicle:
turn
the multifunction steering wheel to the
left as far as it will go.
or
X
Flat tyre on the right-hand side of the vehi-
cle: turn the multifunction steering wheel
to the right as far as it will go.
X
Position the jack under the jack mounting
point beneath the spring mounting directly
in front of the front axle.
Air-sprung front axle
X
Flat tyre on the left-hand side of the vehicle:
turn
the multifunction steering wheel to the
left as far as it will go.
or
X
Flat tyre on the right-hand side of the vehi-
cle: turn the multifunction steering wheel
to the right as far as it will go.
X
Position the jack under the jacking point of
the air spring carrier, just in front of the
front axle.
All-wheel-drive front axle
X
Flat tyre on the left-hand side of the vehicle:
turn
the multifunction steering wheel to the
left as far as it will go.
or
X
Flat tyre on the right-hand side of the vehi-
cle: turn the multifunction steering wheel
to the right as far as it will go.
X
Position the jack under the jacking point
beneath the front axle.
