Assemble steering link rod to engine with bolt, locknut, spacer, and
flat washers. Torque the locknut to specifications.

f - Nylon insert locknut (11‑16147‑‑3) (tighten until it seats,
then back off 1/4 turn)

Tighten until it seats, then back off 1/4

Corrosion Control Anode
Your outboard has corrosion control anodes at three different
locations. An anode helps protect the outboard against galvanic
corrosion by sacrificing its metal to be slowly corroded instead of
the outboard metals.
