8. Inspect the continuity washers under the hydraulic manifold block fasteners for a loose or faulty connection.

9. Inspect the sterndrive U‑joint bellows ground clips and exhaust tube ground clip for loose or faulty connections.

MerCathode
If the boat is equipped with a MerCathode system, the system should be tested to ensure that it is providing adequate output to
protect the underwater metal parts on the boat. The test should be made where the boat is moored, using a Reference
Electrode and Test Meter.
