If there is water or dirt inside, replace the filter. Install the filter in the same
orientation as it was removed.
a - Fuel filter
For external tanks, loosen the fuel pickup elbow, remove it and clean the
fuel filter.

Fuel tank: Water or dirt in the fuel tank will cause engine performance
problems. Check and clean the tank at specified time or after the motor
has been stored for a long period of time (over three months).
Propeller Replacement
!
WARNING
Rotating propellers can cause serious injury or death. Never operate the boat
out of the water with a propeller installed. Before installing or removing a
propeller, place the drive unit in neutral and engage the lanyard stop switch
to prevent the engine from starting. Place a block of wood between the
propeller blade and the anti‑ventilation plate.
1. Remove the spark plug lead to prevent the engine from starting.
