LaneDeparturePreventionSystem(LDP)
Thelanedeparturepreventionsystemisan
auxiliarysystemthatprovidesassistance
tothedriver.ItdoesNOTremovethe
responsibilityofsafedrivingfromthedriver.
Whenchoosingtousethelanedeparture
preventionsystem,thedriverMUSTalways
payattentiontothesurroundings,holdthe
steeringwheelandbepreparedtomake
manoeuvresatanytime.Failuretomaintain
overallcontrolofthevehiclemayresultin
anaccidentorpersonalinjury.
Thelanedeparturepreventionsystem
doesnotalwaysrecognisethelanelines.
Sometimespoorroadsurfaces,certainroad
structuresorobjectsmaybemistakenfor
lanelines.Whensuchsituationsoccur,the
lanedeparturepreventionsystemmustbe
immediatelyturnedoff.
Thelanedeparturepreventionsystemusesthefront
viewcameratodetectthelanelinesaheadofthevehicle.
Thesystemwilloperatewhenthefollowingdetection
conditionsaremet:
•ThefunctionisswitchedON.
•Vehiclespeedisabove37mph(60km/h).
•Lanelinemarkingsareclear.
Aslongasthesystemrecognisesatleastonelaneline
theindicatorlampintheinstrumentpackwillilluminate
green.Whenawheelisabouttocrossthelaneline,
orhasalreadycrossedtheline,thesystemwillprovide
assistancetothedriverbykeepingthevehicleinbetween
thelanelinesbyapplyingcorrectivesteeringintervention
andsimultaneouslydisplayingaprompt.Thefunctionwill
automaticallyexitwhenthevehiclespeeddropsbelow
33mph(55km/h).
Incasesoftwoormoreconsecutiveinterventionswithin
anaccumulatedintervalof180secondsandintheabsence
ofdetectinganysteeringinputbythedriverduringthe
intervention,anacousticwarningissoundedduringthe
secondintervention,andanyfurtherinterventionswithin
the180seconds.Ifthereisneedfor,andstartingwith
