Possible fault Solution
Is the lighting turned off?

If not, the lighting is defective.
Contact Miele.
The display remains dark.
Possible fault Solution
– The main switch is turned to "0".
– The plug is not inserted into the
socket correctly.
– The fuse has blown or is defective.
– Turn the main switch to "I".
– Plug the machine in.
– If the fuse has blown contact Miele's
Technical Service Department.
The unit suddenly turns off.
Possible fault Solution
– Is the machine programmed to
switch off after a programmed time?

There could be pebbles within the
coffee beans. The unit shuts off after
20 secs. to avoid damage.

Is the machine plugged in?
– The machine goes into standby
mode when not used for a
programmed time. See "Settings -
Timer - Switching off after".

The light turns off automatically when the machine has not been used for
