Degreasing the brew unit
Depending on the natural oil content of
the coffee used, the brew unit can be-
come blocked quite quickly. It must be
degreased regularly in order to ensure
aromatic coffee and trouble-free opera-
tion of the coffee machine.
For optimum cleaning we recommend
Miele cleaning tablets. These cleaning
tablets are specially designed for Miele
built-in coffee machines and will protect
your machine from subsequent dam-
age.
They are available from the Miele Web-
store, Miele Service or from your Miele
dealer.
The “Degrease brew unit” maintenance
program lasts about 11minutes.
After 200 portions have been dis-
pensed, Degrease the brew unit will ap-
pear in the display.

This message will be displayed until
the cleaning program has been carried
out.
Performing “Degrease brew unit”
Turn the coffee system off with the
On / Off button.
Tap .
With the arrow key , select Mainte-
nance. Then tap OK.
Select Degrease the brew unit and tap
OK.
The cleaning process cannot be can-
celled once it has started. The process
has to be carried through to the end.
TapOK.
Follow the instructions in the display.
When Place a cleaning tablet in the ground
coffee chute and close appears in the dis-
play:
Remove the coffee chute cover and
open the lid of the coffee chute.
Drop a cleaning tablet into the ground
coffee chute.
Close the lid, replace the coffee chute
cover and close the machine front.
Follow the instructions given in the
display.
If Program finished appears in the display:
TapOK.
The brew unit has now been cleaned.
