2.21 0702 Function Self-Test for Keys, Encoder,
and Trackball
Upper-level test item
Control Panel USB Communication Test
Test content
Test whether the keys on the control panel, encoder, trackball, key backlight LED, and indication
LED function properly. Read the board ID, keyboard FPGA version, and program version, and
detect key-stuck problems.
Test Description
Before the test, the software will detect the hardware ID of the trackball or touchpad of the current
product. If the hardware ID indicates a touchpad, the control panel UI appears as a touchpad. If the
hardware ID indicates a bedside edition, the control panel UI appears as a trackball. If no touchpad
or trackball ID is detected, the software prompts that no trackball or touchpad is detected. Click
OK and the UI of the bedside edition is displayed by default. The control panel test interface is
shown as follows:
