8. Basic Setups
This chapter describes the most common possible setups and use cases.
8.1 Using the AUDIO 8 DJ as system’s default audio
device
Using the AUDIO 8 DJ as standard sound card of your operating system will bring
brilliance in your living room when listening to music or watching DVDs on your
computer.
8.1.1 Using the AUDIO 8 DJ as default device in Windows
Open “Start” > “Control Panel” > “Sounds & Audio Devices”.
Click on the “Audio” tab.
Choose one of the available channel pairs of the AUDIO 8 DJ, e.g. AUDIO 8 DJ
(CH. D, Out 7|8) as “Default Device for Sound Playback”.
Make sure the volume controls of the amplier are completely turned down!
Plug a RCA cable into out 5|6 of the AUDIO 8 DJ and connect it to an available
input pair of your amplier.
Open an audio le on your computer. It should get played back via the AUDIO
8 DJ now.
